The wedding of Betty Joan Wadhams and John Smith Quigley at Woolwich on 17th November 1948.
To Betty's left were her sister, Iris Lilian Wadhams, her mother, Violet Ellen Wadhams (ne้ Avenell),
and her father, William Frederick Wadhams.
To the groom's right were his best man and brother, James Quigley, his mother, Margaret Quigley,
and his father, Owen Gillick Quigley.

At the time of the wedding, John Smith Quigley was serving in the RAF

(left) Gillot Perkins Harrop, husband of (right) Emma Thatcher Moore Wadhams (b.1852),
daughter of John Wadhams & Elizabeth Ann Heathcote of Gillingham, Kent.
Gillot Perkins Harrop was a brass-founder from Sheffield who was
working in London, reputedly on the construction of London Bridge.
The couple were married at Newington, Surrey, in 1874.
